Analysis Services

Some services are being developed within the LHCb Gaudi Framework to support and integrate physics analysis tools. The physics analysis application, DaVinci, is the program is to be used to analyze the LHCb data and produce new data in form of histograms, n-tuples, nano-dst, etc. that can be further process (interactively) to produce final physics results.

Services

Particle Property Service We are currently using the old LHCb CDF files. We plan to use the new HepPDT (will be part of CLHEP)

Interactive Analysis Tools

  • ROOT - OO framework for data analysis applications
  • JAS - Java Analysis Studio
  • HIPPODRAW - Ntuple viewing and manipulation
  • LIZARD - Object-oriented interactive data analysis environment
