The following problems with Brunel are known. Please report additional problems to Marco Cattaneo.
Date | Description | Affected versions | Workaround and status |
2001-09-13 | Occasional core dumps when reconstructing minimum bias events | v5r1, v6, v7 | Fixed in v5r2, v6r1, v7r1 |
2001-09-14 | Unhandled exception in
BrunelFinalFit phase (on Windows) core dump (on Linux). |
v6, v6r1 v7, v7r1 |
Caused by removal of muon background
previously added by SICBMC. Workaround is to switch off treatment of
muon background in Brunel if already added by SICBMC. Add to the
file BrunelUser.opts the job
option BrunelDigiMUON.addBkg = false; |
2001-09-13 | Memory leak - program size increases by approx 0.5MB per event | all versions | Under investigation. Partly fixed in v6r1, v7r1 |
2001-09-05 | Partition too large in
WIRW (reported by G.Corti) |
all versions | Actually a problem in the input data. Will be fixed in dbase 242 |
2001-09-05 | "UBPUT: object chaining clobbered VRHT" on some events | all versions | Under investigation |
2001-09-05 | "NaN skipped" on some events | all versions | Due to missing protection on sqrt of negative number in TrMonitor. Will be fixed in next version of Track classes |
2001-09-05 | "*T0_addMC* : ATMC reference2 is 0 , !!!!! ERROR !" on some events | all versions | Not a real problem. Due to missing ATMC references on calorimeter noise hits. |
