Dear Colleagues,
this is the summary of the discussion held in Physics meeting on 13/10/1998 about our plans for MC production:
1.It was made clear that the MC production will continue with the SICB program and its environment for about two years more. 2.The present MC sample contains about 1 M of bbar events (500K on DST1) + various physics channels,produced with PYTHIA model 1 and different versions of GEANT and RECONS.. These events were partially used for the T.P. studies. 3.Currently we are producing with PYTHIA model 3 (multiple interaction model) and GEANT v115 : - bbar inclusive: 40K (goal 100K), - Minimum bias: 80K, - B0d channel: 50K, - B0s channel: 50K, which will decay following the requests of the Analysers. 4.It was agreed that this new production (model 3) is considered as a test production and the STANDARD production settings will be decided upon after more studies of the physics event generator output. 5.The future developments concerning SICB and its environment will comprise: - modification of the bookkeeping data base structure and tools, - treatement of run conditions: lumi,beam decay,pileup, - checking procedure for each detector part. 6.The requests for new samples should be sent be email to:
