agenda: In view of our Bookkeepink project Alain Bonissent/ALEPH will present the work which has been done in ALEPH. physicist feedback to the presentation would be very appreciated. Florence title Aleph Run Selection for Physics Analysis, Using an Oracle Database and a Java User Interface abstract The Scanbook program has been used extensively over the last 10 years to access Aleph data (Monte Carlo and real data). It enables the users to build a list of tapes suitable for input into the Aleph analysis framework, based on parameters relevant for a given type of analysis. Selection criteria like year of datataking, detector condition, LEP energy etc... can be combined and transformed into a set of "data cards". The latest version is based on an Oracle database, a set of stored procedures which perform the selections, and a user interface written in Java.
